Scarves Galore

I have finally made time to indulge in some much needed crochet. I mentioned in my previous post that I had an idea for some handmade Christmas presents for some special ladies. I decided on scarves as quite frankly you can have enough scarves and I wanted to give something similar to each but choosing individual colours each one has become unique. I am thrilled with the results and can’t wait to see what they think come Christmas morning : )

I used Patons Smoothie DK, it comes in some fantastic colours however it is quite splitty and tricky to work with at first, once I got in the swing of things it was a doddle and super dopper soft. To make these lovely cosy scarves I used a 4mm hook and 3 x 50g balls per scarf with a little left over, each scarf took 2 evenings to complete, I think I worked so quickly due to the sheer excitment to get started on the next one and see how the colours worked up together.

These are the colours I used...

Red Mix (2018), Cream (1019), Slate (1088), Lilac Mix (2019), White (1020), Pale Blue (2001), Pink Mix (2002), Lime (1010), Blue Mix (2012) and Finally Blue (1085).

All wrapped up in some pretty craft boxes with festive ribbon from East of India that I brough online. They are ready for the tree : )
