Lemon and White Baby Blanket

How exciting my first post... well here are a few snaps of a baby blanket I recently finished for my sister who is expecting. As you can probably tell we do not know the sex of the baby hence the choice of lemon and white coloured yarn. Im very pleased how it has turned out, I shall post a picture of the blanket in action around mid July when the little one arrives : )

The blanket is made using a basic granny square pattern, Purl Bee provides a fantastic tutorial on how to get started http://www.purlbee.com/granny-square-project/. I used 4 rows of each colour and a frilled edge which was made by... Chaining 3, followed by 4 dc in the chain space slst and then slst through the back of the next chain space... continue all the way around and slst to finish. I threaded a slim white ribbon through the chain spaces and tied it off in a basic bow.
